We held our first "Friends" WineShare event on 6/22 at Three Legged Willie's!

WineShare has 3 goals: meet new people, meet new businesses, and meet new wines. The group gathers together on a regular basis. Couples attending are asked to bring 1 bottle of wine; singles neet not bring a bottle each month. Each person brings their own wine glass. They don't want to have too much wine and drinking responsibly is encouraged. Many people bring non-alcoholic drinks and come out just to enjoy the fellowship and check out the month's location. Each month they hope to increase public awareness of all the fabulous places to go and things to do here in the Georgetown area.

We had a great time and as an added serendipity we had local wine expert, Randy McCrea there. We asked him to tell us a bit about the wines we brought. He was a real trooper, as he had no idea what we brought until he picked up the bottle. He taught us how to do a proper tasting, and we all experimented with the various wines ~ the colors, the aromas, the dominant tastes. Everyone who attended had a great time and learned a lot about the wines. Three Legged Willie's provided us with some delicious appetizers and we all agreed that we need to do another WineShare evening in the near future!
